Our history

Lasso was founded in 2006, as a part of Brussels Kunstenoverleg vzw. In the first years, Lasso built bridges between the Brussels art sector and welfare organisations. Our focus was on leading groups towards the existing art offer.

Over the last years, our work grew in the direction of other sectors such as youth work, the heritage sector, socio-cultural work and education. We intermediate around durable partnerships across the boundaries of those sectors. Since 2017, Lasso is an independent non-profit association.
